Pretender 2: Erinnerungen by Peter Mennigen
This is a fantastic example of what a literate, bilingual translator can do.
Mennigen manages to transcribe the the first few episodes with stunning exactitude.
Further, he then translates into German. Although some of the idioms used
in the television show obviously would not translate well, Mennigen manages
to either translate it directly while implying the meaning or translate it
into a similar and just as hilarious German idiom. I highly recommend this
book!
